What We Do
CERD works with communities, government institutions, development partners and local organizations to address the challenges faced by vulnerable and underserved populations across Pakistan.
Our programmes combine humanitarian assistance, community development and long term resilience. We work to improve access to health and nutrition, education, clean water and sanitation, livelihoods, food security, protection and essential community services, while promoting inclusion, dignity and meaningful participation of women, children and marginalized groups.

—Health and Nutrition Programmes
We improve access to essential health and nutrition services for vulnerable communities, particularly women and children. Our work includes community-based nutrition interventions, health awareness, medical camps, nutrition screening, referral services and support for the management of acute malnutrition.

—Women, Children & Protection
CERD promotes safe, inclusive and dignified communities where women and children can participate, access essential services and exercise their rights. Our work includes women’s empowerment, protection awareness, gender-based violence prevention, legal awareness and community engagement.

— Climate Resilience & Disaster Response
We help vulnerable communities prepare for, respond to and recover from climate-related shocks and natural disasters. Our work includes restoration of essential services, rehabilitation of community infrastructure, flood protection, emergency support and community-based resilience initiatives.

— WASH & Essential Community Services
CERD works with communities to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene facilities. We also support the restoration and rehabilitation of essential community infrastructure, particularly in remote and disaster-affected areas where access to basic services remains limited.

— Food Security & Livelihoods
We support vulnerable households to strengthen their livelihoods, improve food security and build greater economic resilience. Our interventions include livelihood support, agricultural initiatives, entrepreneurship, skills development and access to appropriate financial opportunities.

— Education & Skills Development
CERD works to improve access to quality and inclusive education while creating opportunities for skills development. Our programmes support children, young people and women through education initiatives, vocational and technical training, digital skills and practical livelihood-oriented learning.

We work with communities and institutions to strengthen participation, accountability, social inclusion and access to rights and essential services. CERD engages local stakeholders, government departments, community organizations and development partners to support locally owned and sustainable solutions.
